Hi - I'm certified hypnotist and trainer George Guarino. I've been a hypnotist since 2005 and have worked with thousands of people to help them improve their lives.

People ask me all the time, "how did you learn to be a hypnotist?"

 

Long story short, I was hypnotized to be a hypnotist. You'll have to come to one of my classes to hear the entire story but what I will tell you here is that the art, the skill, the talent of hypnotizing is something that you can learn.

I use hypnosis to help people do positive things in their lives and get rid of old outdated problems. Hypnosis is a wonderful helping profession and it's something that is a complement to so many professions like counseling, teaching, coaching, sales, that anyone who is adventurous enough to improve themselves would find it beneficial to learn the skill.

As you may know hypnosis has also been used as a form of entertainment for centuries. That has kept it alive and well even when misunderstood. Those hypnotists introduced many people to the powerful properties of hypnosis medically, for habit modification and enhanced performance.

​

Learning the skill goes a long way toward debunking old myths and misconceptions about it while realizing how much the process of hypnosis goes on in everyday life. Knowing this will help you make better reasoned choices or at least be aware that your choices are sometimes set on automatic beyond your conscious control. Much of what a professional hypnotist does is de-hypnotize clients. A hypnotist's job many times is to take folks out of one trance and into a more beneficial and useful one. 

 

I once thought people were born with the skill to hypnotize but that's not true. It's a skill and a talent that you can learn relatively easily if you put your mind to it. The big secret is that you have to practice, practice and practice to get comfortable using it well. You have to be congruent, confident and have conviction.

I offer an exciting 2-Day Learn to Hypnotize class. I teach my students 5 powerful hypnotic inductions that they can go home and hypnotize friends, colleagues and family with.

​

I am also a hypnosis trainer for the National Guild of Hypnotists and teach the NGH Hypnosis Certification course. This is a 100 hour course that takes place over the period of 5 weekends plus homework assignments.

​
